Show your love for the Drupal8 project and come along to our Dupal8 code sprints. You don't have to be a PHP developer to contribute and a code sprint is a great way to get started with Drupal contribution. For most code sprints Mentors will be available to help you get started with Drupal contributions. Please check with your individual location.
What to expect
For now we will focus on getting people involved in testing and resolving issues in Drupal8 core.

What to bring and how to prepare
- Your laptop and some time.
- Sign up on http://drupal.org/ and check out DrupalLadder for some starter tutorials.
- Set up an IRC client and join irc://irc.freenode.net/drupal-contribute or the individual room for your event. All sprinters should be signed in to IRC while working.
There will be help for total newbies… but
- A working local development environment will speed things up. Last year's *AMP stack will not do! D8 requires PHP5.4 ^_^...
- If you have a current version of Drupal8 we only need to plug you in and you are ready to go. It would be really helpful if you downloaded and installed the required tools before you arrive.
- We have prepared a number of key tasks for the DrupalSouth CodeSprint. We will follow the same structure. So have a look at what we will be doing on that page.
- And some other Tools for your sprint...
