NZCER Student Assessment Platform

HeadFirst are providing specialist Drupal consultancy and development services to the New Zealand Council for Education Research (NZCER) for development of a Drupal-based e-learning assessment platform. The platform is designed to support real-time test delivery to 1000s of students, supports web-based test creation and delivery for multiple organisations and for students using desktop and mobile devices.

We have leveraged Drupal to build a flexible and scalable test creation environment and designed and implemented a high demand test delivery mechanism which utilises cutting edge web technologies including MongoDB NoSQL data storage, Varnish caching, web services and Backbone.js running on distributed Amazon cloud infrastructure.
